Human Resources:

In HR, ECM not only provides an electronic personnel file, it provides document management through the employee file lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee management and offboarding. It allows staff to electronically capture documents such as new hire documents, personnel action forms, benefits information and disciplinary actions and store them in a secure, central repository. An ECM system should easily integrate with any HR application and allow authorized users to retrieve any related documents from within an application. ECM workflow allows forms to be pre-populated with HRIS system data, automatically routed for approvals and uploaded directly into an HRIS, creating efficiencies throughout the department.
